As a supplementary study to the observations carried on the granular movements of pseudoeosiophils and eosinophils in normal rabbtits as reported previously, the author this time conduced a series of experiments by mieans of bone-marrow tissue culture of both experimental anemic rabbits in the conventional medium and of normal rabbits in the media loaded with various agents, and obtained the following results: 1. Coiniciding with the results reported by various investigators in their studied of the benzol-. collargol-, saponin-, and phenylhydrazin anemia as well as in the normal bone-marrow tissue culture using media loaded with nitromin, and also from the viewpoint of the granular movement a decrease in the functions of bone marrow can be recognized, and in the terminal stage of the movement cycles the reverse·flow movement of granules in the the tail end is especially noteworthy. 2. In the case of acute blood-depleted anemia and in the case of bone-marrow tissue culture in the media loaded with ACTH and folic acid, the bone-marrow functions is accelerated as observed from the granular movement. Especially in the early stage of movement cycle the reverse-flow movement of granules in the tail end is frequently observable. 3. It is possible to estimate the motility of a cell by observing at what stage of the movement cycle such a reverse-flow movement of granules in the tail end of the cell appears.
