抄録
高分化型ヒト肝癌由来細胞株“HuH-7”は,1982年にCancer Researchにその樹立を報告した.HuH-7は,当時の岡山大学医学部附属癌源研究施設病理部門(故佐藤二郎教授)の下で樹立し,これまで多くの研究分野で利用され,世界的に有名な肝癌細胞株となっている.本稿では,有用性の高い分化機能を有するヒト肝癌細胞株HuH-7について,肝細胞癌の腫瘍マーカーであるα-fetoprotein(AFP)を中心に,この細胞株を用いた研究分野に関する詳細を紹介する.
