抄録 The optimum temperature in a sequence of two stirred tanks is considered subject to inequality constraints. For an illustrative example this nonlinear programming problem is solved using the SUMT method of Fiacco and McCormick, which transforms the constrained problem into a sequence of unconstrained minimization problems. The results are presented for several cases, and are fairly good.
